The wolf padded through the long grass of the meadow, ever so often glancing back over his shaggy shoulder. A chill breeze whipped past his muzzle, ruffling his dense coat and bending the grass as it swept by.
‘Maybe this will be the place Fuzzball. We can find a home…’
He mumbled softly, not glancing down at the pup he assumed was following him. He began to increase his pace as he caught sight of a small brownish rabbit in the grass just a few feet ahead of him. He crouched, using the drying grasses trying to let his coat do most of the hiding for him as he prepared to lunge.

The rabbit bolted from where Douxle was ready to pounce as a little ball of cinnamon fur flew towards it, and then proceeded to bounce off of Douxle’s forepaws. Large dark eyes watched the older male and a slight smile slipped onto the pup’s muzzle.
'Sorry bout that Douxle.'
He giggled lazily, his tongue peeking from the corner of his opened mouth. He rolled over and scampered out of the way of the adult before he had a chance to be reprimanded, his tail wagging playfully as he scuttled off into the long grasses again.

Douxle gave a soft rich chuckle, standing up and watching the sea of grass part as the little wolf scampered away. He gave another small laugh and then called out:
‘You get a head start this time fuzzball!’
He lowered himself into the grass again, his rump in the air and tail wagging playfully. He waited for a few moments, pawing the loose, dry soil, then darted after the little ball of fluff, weaving easily through the grasses. His long strides easily overtook the pup’s frantic scrabbling and he caught the younger wolf’s scruff in his teeth gently.

Douxle laughed again, though it was muffled due to Two Feather’s scruff. He continued walking through the grass, still between the Deep forest and the rugged mountains. He felt Twoee squirm between his lips and he dropped the pup.
“Fine.”
He said, glancing down, his face suddenly serious. He could smell wolves from both directions, the scents equally faint. He raised his head to the sky and took another lungful. His head still slightly tilted he spoke to the pup.

Rome, was too without a pack. he could sense both, oh so strongly, but, what kept him from going to either? he didnt know. A serious and blank expression was plastered across his maw as he wansdered, too lost in his own thoughts to realize that he was coming towards two more loners, wof his own kind. He was nearly feet away from them before he looked up in suprise.
